micro resist was awarded as Top-Innovator
The Berlin material supplier was awarded by Lothar Spät for it´s outstanding innovation management with the seal of quality “Top 100”.
Berlin – micro resist technology GmbH belongs to the 100 most innovative companies of the German small and medium-sized entreprises. This was the result of the analysis in the context of the nationwide, cross-sectoral comparison of businesses “Top 100”. In the 17th round of the famous initiative of economies the medium-sized enterprise gave a convincing performance with it´s customized innovation management. On Friday (June 26, 2009) Lothar Späth the former prime minister of Baden-Württemberg, presented the coveted seal of quality “Top 100” to micro resist in a ceremonial act in the guesthouse Petersberg in Königswinter.
The mentor of the initiative of small and medium-sized enterprises honored micro resist technology in the fields “innovation supporting Top-Management”, “climate on innovation”, “innovative processes and organization”, “innovative marketing” as well as “success of innovation”.
For the developer and manufacturer of photosensitive materials e.g. for the fabrication of microchips in the high-tech sector the question of innovation is on the top of the agenda. The managing director Mrs. Gabi Gruetzner points out “This belongs to our daily business!” The half-life period of News in the high-tech branch is extremely short; barely one business sector is as innovative as the semiconductor industry. It’s all the more important to approach it in an extensive and strategic way. The way from the idea to the marketability starts with a research of the market, the questions are: “What is needed?” and “How existent products can be upgraded?” Out of the gained ideas product and project strategies are developed. Innovation teams composed by the head of the respective product range, internal scientists and laboratory assistance are working on these ideas. Afterwards it follows the development phase. The experts of micro resist technology hereby have the advantage of their own clean room where they can test the products. When the scientists are comfortable with their work they present the results to their customers before launching a new product.
For the distinction micro resist technology had to endure a severely two-stage proceeding of the University of Economics in Vienna. The scientific director of the study, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke notes: “Our results show that the 100 Top-Innovators target challenges powerful and therefore are prepared for challenges like the current economic situation. In the majority of cases innovation is up to the Top-Management.” So the awarded enterprises generate two-thirds of their turnover by innovations and innovative advancements of the last 3 years – in a comparison group of German small and medium-sized enterprises it barely are 30%. Furthermore with the help of innovative processes the Top-enterprises were able to reduce their costs by 12 %, other groups could only save 4 %.
The consequence: Under this years „Top 100“ 54 national market leaders were awarded, 22 of them are even worldwide the number one in their field of activity. Gabi Gruetzner is very pleased about the success: “Our innovative strength is evidentially among the best of the German small and medium-sized enterprises. This strengthens our credibility and creates trust at employees, partners and of course customers. There is no better way to confront times of crisis.” All in all 319 enterprises attended this years “Top 100”.
All 100 Top-Innovators will be presented in the book „TOP 100 – Die 100 innovativsten Unternehmen im Mitelstand“; published by Lothar Späth and at the website www.top100.de . The Initiative is organized by compamedia GmbH. Interested enterprises can apply for next years “Top 100” under www.top100.de. The deadline for entries is October 30, 2009.
